 Pyrokinetic (Shoots Plasma)

Sparkler is a mutant and a very specific type of pyrokinetic. She can generate electromagnetic fields that can superheat air and direct it as plasma.

Weaknesses:
 Suffers from a Lack of Confidence,
 Intensity Requires Concentration or intense Emotion,
 Cannot Shoot if Extremity is Covered
 Claustrophobic

Sparkler has found herself thrust into a much bigger role than she ever would have asked for, having inherited her mentor's role as Voice of the Resistance in Hayao. She frequently doubts her own actions and that can cause her to hesitate at critical moments.

Her magnetic fields must be generated around an extremity to direct the plasma or it turns inward on her and can cause her psychic feedback (pain from the magnetic fields) and possible physical injury (from uncontrolled plasma). At this time, she has learned how to focus the plasma with her fingertips and tongue-tip (giving the illusion that she can “breathe plasma”. She has been trying to learn how to direct the streams through her toes, thinking that it could enable flight, but she’s had no luck in this area so far, though she has been able to, a few times, thurst-jump much further than she could normally by channeling short bursts of plasma through her toes.

She has also learned how to put fires out by, essentially, reversing the process, but this requires an incredible amount of concentration. Also, the magnetic fields are disrupted by even small amounts of solid matter, so she cannot even so much as wear gloves and still generate plasma, as the magnetic field will break down before the air becomes warm enough to burn off the gloves.

Hayao Background:
Sparkler is a conflicted 22-year-old who has discovered she has a pretty flashy superpower, and that is a thrill for her. She is the niece of the Resistance member Trinity, who has been training her and is trying to get her off the island despite her recent arrival on to attend school there. Recently, Trinity was reported killed, and that has devastated Sparkler's confidence as she finds herself struggling to fill her mentor's shoes.

She has been in various stages of foster care until coming to live with her aunt about eight years ago, and has fairly recently gotten herself into college on scholarships and grants. Her mother abandoned her at an early age and her father is in prison serving a life sentence and his identity is unknown to her. As a child she was accused of a pyromaniac due to her presence around so many unexplained fires, an early manifestation of her powers, branding her a troubled child, so the child-welfare system has not been kind to her. She’s done much better since coming to live with her aunt, but now a rift is forming over the situation in Hayao, where her university is. Now that her aunt has, apparently, been killed, Sparkler feels the weight of this rift intensely, so many words having gone unsaid. She struggles to keep her aunt and mentor's legacy alive.

She is bright, impetuous, and has a bit of a hot temper, so the name “Sparkler” suits her very well. She usually wears a patriotic-themed costume and carries very little gear, though lately she has taken to wearing a copy of Trinity's gear belt which includes such devices as a stun-gun, gas and flash grenades, and sometimes a grappling-gun. Her plasma manifests as colorful bolts of fire and can be quite destructive.

RP Preference: Ongoing Story made up of short, interconnected sessions preferably ending with an escape, or less preferred, a rescue. I don't do long term capture.

My interests: Peril roleplay, stifling cloth gags, limited breath play, forceful gagging, kidnap scenarios, escape scenarios, kidnappers that take her to new or unexpected places. Obviously, Sparkler's weaknesses play into encasement-type scenarios, too, so that makes sense. I -want- to be captured when I'm Sparkler but I'll still make you work for it!

My limits: Snuff, scat, watersports, bestiality, pointless brutatlity, guys that just want to jump right into sex. If you've got your... tool... out when I meet you, I probably don't want to play with you. Also, I don't like sessions where I lie there like an object. I like to fight, to struggle, to very nearly escape, to escape. You "shut down" everything I try to do, I won't play long and I won't hesitate to call off the scene. No permanent disfigurement, no mind-control. If you're a telepath, knock me out with your powers, but I won't become your mindless slave. I don't _do_ mind control. I don't -like- drugs, especially needles, but I understand that's part of the genre. Just don't overdo it, 'kay? Oh, and for the love of god, don't just skip to the capture. I enjoy the fight, too! Also, do _not_ throw particle effects at me if you don't RP what you are doing first. Remember the consent rules.
