Hold on...Inspired by the fact that something in my life seems to be going in a good direction, for once. I figured I'd try and focus on that...

Technically this was really hard for me. i wanted to capture the contrast of the light point, but if I made the surrounding lighting too dark, it went all blurry and out of focus. This was the best result.

The sun just happened to be right that day. The shimmery effect is produced because the sun is actually filtering through some cedar trees outside the window. They were swaying in the wind and created that sort of blurry effect. Couldn't have done that artificially if I tried!

I think you've done a really fantastic job! I love how it makes you focus on hope. It also, at the same time (and for me personally) seems to paint a little bit of darkness on hope. Showing you that sometimes you think you're holding on to hope, but it was just some light passing along. That's just what I see, but it's a really brilliant shot in my opinion!
