The M.O.R.F. Foundation was initially dedicated to isolating monsters. However, as time went by, there were many dangers, including more dangerous monsters (or kaijus) and more violent groups. So the Foundation, which had to increase defense and safety, needed more powerful weapons. So they recruited many numbers of scientists, engineers, and soldiers in 2035. And they expanded its scope from a company that just isolated and studied monsters to a military-industrial complex. As a result, it even created an exoskeleton reinforcement suit that increased muscle strength and made weapons suitable for the power suit. And that's the M.O.R.F Heavy Assault Rifle mark 5, which was released in 2048. It's also called MHAR for short.

Before this gun appeared, guards and other soldiers used heavy but powerful heavy machine guns to handle or isolate monsters. But scientists were thinking of a more convenient gun. The MHAR rifle is called the Assault Rifle, but when you look at the size of the gun and the cartridge, you'll think it's rather like a heavy machine gun. It uses a 50 caliber FMJ as standard-specification ammunition, and the cartridge can store up to 60 bullets. The launch speed is 760 RPM, the effective range is 900 meters, and the maximum range is 3,700 meters. It weighs up to 5.5 kilograms, which makes this gun the heaviest assault rifle, but it is like a feather compared to other heavy machine guns. In addition, although it is said to be the heaviest of assault rifles, the weight problem has been resolved to some extent thanks to the muscle strengthening of the widespread exoskeleton reinforcement suit.
