Acrylics and oils are VERY different of course, from each other and from watercolours.
The oils are the more poisonous of the lot of them obviously, so I'd definitely wait on those so the younguns aren't getting all cadmium red'd.
But, on to the piece. I quite like what you've got going on her. I find that watercolours kind of force you to be more 'relaxed'.
It is a funny moment you depicted. *laughs* And would make a perfect stufoo icon.

Thanks! Yes, I'm not too worried about them poisoning themsleves, more that I would NEVER get the stains out of the rest of the house!
These paints are making me have to 're-see' everything. More in blocks than in shades.

I know what you mean. It's my favorite painting media, but I couldn't do it... I just gave up. Painting's never really been my thing, though.
