Thank you for taking the time to have a look...I'm sincerely grateful for your supportNo, not the camera...that's two years old...the French Bull dog who is only 10 weeks old and now part of our family for almost a day. Already he's taken a liking to one of my cameras...albeit as a chew toy

In Catalan, Atura (alone) means Chick, girl, goody, and is used to name girls that are very attractive and sexually appealing and gos means literally dog! But, actually, D´Ñtura means to save, to protect.
On a very literal translation from the Catalan, Gos d'atura would mean a dog for protection, but, we Spanish, translate it as pastor (Shepherd). Nobody is using this expression for other than to name these dogs. Is a Gos DΒ΄atura, a breed, just like other dog may be a Dalmatian, for instance, or a Husky or Β a Terrier. All these names are just to point the breed of the dog and they cannot be translated in other languages. Try to translate the Toy Fox Terrier, which is a breed of dog originating from USA, it would sound ridiculous in other language. Is like I would call you Ricardo, instead of Richard, because your name here would be like this. But actually Richard, that meansΒ powerful leaderΒ cannot beΒ translated, and Ricardo is a totally different name. The same happens with this kind of breed: is a name formed by two words, but these words, taken separately lead to totally different things, so is better to just take them the same as we take names like Alaskan Malamute, White Shepard and so on.Β
