Who's trying to tune all the bells that he rings
And who's in the corner and down on the floor
With pencil and paper just counting the score

Fourteen years ago to the day as the world stood and helplessly watched the bodies fly,
I just could not stop the tears pouring down from my eyes.

It's a tune I hope to never hear again
And yes I can see how you see them as musical notes. I see them as the ghostly remnants of those who jumped to their death that day. I suppose it was better than burning alive. No more tragic or sad a sight have I ever witnessedΒ

A great image....very powerful! It says a lot with it's movement and makes my heart cry for what happened 14 years ago. Β

Aww...I'm sorry but I understand. It was a sad day for the world as we knew it then. So different now...and not for the better.
Thank you very much, Thea

So much of that day I remember with picture perfect clarity and it was the first time in my life that I spontaneously cried.Β I'm still angry though the addiction to compulsively listen to any news source has died off with the instigator's death, but even that was unsatisfying.Β It was clinical and relatively quick but justice is justice...satisfactory or not, my rage has subsided but my memory will never fail.
A very moving tribute, Richard.

An amazing, frightening, concept ...All your feelings are there!!You were so close to it!!
I felt sick when I saw it on the tv...My relative who does my computer was due at the trade centre that day .Thinking he was there frightened me.I phoned his wife to make sure she and he were ok.It turned out he'd phoned and was stuck at the airport due to what had happened so hadn't got there.!
