I think this is one of your images that has most moved me so far Β
It has reminded me of something I wrote a long time ago. I hope you understand it well. It's complicated to translate something like this...

I don't know if it was a beat of wings,
what it left in silence
my lips,
or was your cold look
what closed me the ways to you.

I only know that an angel passed,
how the time and the storm pass ...
... and I'm still waiting on the shore

of this desert sea without your eyes.

Your image is visual poetry, Richard. Congrats!!

Wow...I'm honored you feel that way, Angeles...my deepest thanks and gratitude

Such a poignant poem. I like it. In particular:
"and I'm still waiting on the shore

of this desert sea without your eyes."

A pleasure! And I'm glad you understood what I wrote ... Sometimes when I translate my poems into English I think nobody will understand them nor a potato Β

This I don't quite understand: "...nor a potato" ?

Adoratia In reply to Trippy4U [2019-06-25 14:06:45 +0000 UTC]

I'm sorry... Β It's an expression from here and I translated it verbatim from Spanish.
Well ... it's like saying that I think that my translated poems will not understand nothing at all ... (nor a potato ... nor "J")
It's also used when something we do doesn't look good, it's ugly, is bad....For example "This drawing that I've done is a potato"

Ahh, I see the point. They can look a bit ugly. Sort of like this potato face does >

Thank you, Markku...I appreciate that

3200 looks very grainy, but it fits very expressive.... First I thought that too dark then I think it sounds very well....Β ....

A ery grainy film...I love it for that quality but it's getting harder and harder to find.

Do you use traditional negative film still and developed it in darkroom?.... I have finished the use many years ago...

Ocean has the power to wash all the dark thoughts away..
And because I live far from the ocean (or sea) I do the same on the mountain top.. roll all my worries in a ball and kick it off

I went with the kids... little kid was dressed as a little Red Riding Hood and the big kid was a part of the parade (brass band). They were all dressed as hippiesΒ  Β . I wasn't in a costume, because I'm funny enough to look at as is.. you know.. my big feet

Aww...how charming. They must of had a blast being in the parade. Kids love that. Good for them. They deserve it.
IKR...it must have been a drag being stuck in that side-show-freak-tent all day
