Shot through a 3 inch thick Plexiglass that was horribly scratched up by many players, sticks and pucks slamming into it since it was installed. One puck was hit right to the spot I was standing. Scared the hell out of me because I never even seen it coming. Them suckers move at the speed of light sometimes I think.

Its a unique game...unfortunately I don't get to photograph it often...not too big in New York
I was shooting through the totally scratched up plexiglass barriers but if you put your lens at its widest aperture and get super close to the glass...it pretty much eliminates all that mess.

I think the black white frame doesn't suit your colour pictures. I' do it the other way around. The black is killing off the detail colour inside. It works fantastic in bw. I did black too outside, but I think the other way around is better for colour, meanwhile.

You know I have been trying for a long time to convince myself that they do but you, with logical reasoning, are correct. Now its just a matter of time for me to get my lazy ass into gear and change them all...ahh always so much to do. Maybe tomorrow

How common is it that people other than players get hit with them? Have you been? One last one...did you get to ride the Zamboni? Now that I woulds love to try but I think one would really need to be skilled with that so as not to "cut" the ice so bad.

I've actually never had any complaints of it yet, I know when i was younger we had season tickets to a semi-pro league similar to the AHL, and I got hit by them a couple times, hurts a bit but nothing too bad.
..and yeah i drive the zamboni everytime I work.the first couple times its cool, then it becomes boring driving in circles all day

No I haven't...my brother use play and nearly lost an eye. I can skate quite fast though but not fast enough to get out of the way of the puck

Those pucks will scare you when they hit the Plexiglass. I used to help in the penalty box.

It is a difficult sport to shoot. I can tell you that Speed Skating is more difficult to shot than hockey. I have not posted any of my Speed Skating photos because they are not big on DA.
