Thank you so much, Angeles for liking it
Nothing special about me but I think we are all unique in our own ways. The same but different. If that makes any sense.

I mean, I think that as an artist you have a very special sensitivity that is always present in your work.
By the way, I've always wanted to ask you if you know this Spanish conceptual photographer www.chemamadoz.com/index.html
I think he is also unique, like you Β

No I didn't know his work but I do now thanks to you
Some of it seems familiar. Like they were used as part of an advert in a high-en magazine.
This man is miles ahead of me photographically. It seems he's very conceptional and does a lot of controlled studio work. Impressive indeed...all of it.
I'm more of a johnny-on-the-spot sort of photographer which probably helps me in my profession as mainly a sports photographer.
But I am honored to be in his orbit a little bit as far as beating my own drum.

Well, he's a purely conceptual photographer, a conceptual photographer rather cold. His works are good, I like them, but I recognize that they are very cold. He play with visual ideas not with feelings.
Yours works never are cold, and I would like to see him, for example, making a sporty photo perfectly focused and at the right time, without any prior placement. He could never do it because he is very methodical. What you do is very difficult, in fact I do not even know how you can do it... Lol!
Thank you for always answering my long comments. I'm sorry, you're very kind

He's good...we are different but I know what you're talking about. His work seems more about technique. It's almost too perfect and that gives it that "coldness" that you mentioned. But he has mastered lighting control...a must for studio photography to succeed.
My work is so imperfect that it's human...loaded with faults and complexities
But I'm honored to read that you don't find my stuff to be cold. To me that means that somehow I'm expressing emotion and it's connecting with viewers on some level.
Of the two of us the one who is truly kind is you

Adoratia In reply to Trippy4U [2019-05-30 19:41:31 +0000 UTC]
You said it, too perfect.
The other day I published an image of a mermaid ... remember? That mermaid is missing an arm, the right arm is not seen at all in the painting. I did not paint it, nor did I want to paint it because she does not need it to express what I wanted. Is it a perfect painting? No. Is it an academic painting?Β Neither is it, but I think that imperfection is not important if a work really expresses something and moves the heart or the mind of someone. If we were perfect as artists or as people I think that It would be everything frankly boring... Β
I'm sorry again Β

Trippy4U In reply to Adoratia [2019-05-30 22:32:04 +0000 UTC]
Yes I remember it quite fondly. I must admit that I did not notice the arms or the precision of technique or lack of. Like you said I look for the feeling in an artwork and that one has feelings aplenty.
Oh can you imagine. Actually I can. All I need is to look at Traitor Trump's supporters. If ever there were mindless drones...it's them.

I never talk about political issues because I don't like it, but speaking in general I tell you that I love living in peace, I hate violence and wars, the despotism and the intolerance. I think some imperfections that I spoke about earlier are necessary and can be forgiven. Others are like incurable diseases that are rooted in humans since prehistory... and those imperfections are unforgivable.

Richard, I'm a little worried about my comment yesterday. It seems that I was angry, and I was sad. Don't think at all that your comment bothered me, I don't talk about politics or religion because they are sensitive issues. But I understood your message perfectly because I know the anger and impotence that we feel when we see behaviors that outrage us and we can't do anything. I was sad because I'm also outraged by many things that I see every day.
All this phrase "Others are like incurable diseases that are rooted in humans since prehistory ... and those imperfections are unforgivable"Β I was dedicated to them, to the political class in general, who manage our lives from always and always sin of the same thing: desire for power and domination. I was referring to that unforgivable imperfection.
Nothing to do with you. I think sincerely that you are a sensitive artist and a great, generous and lovely person ... nothing to see with those unforgivable imperfectionsΒ Β Β

Don't ever feel you have to apologize to me for what you think and feel. I respect that and you're so right politics and religion are the downfall of humanity in this 21 century. They both have morphed into unrecognizable entities. I'll say no more
I never noticed before but are you and Carlos married?

I just realized that this looooong conversation has been amazing... LOL! Β
We started talking about photography, then imperfection and perfections, then politics and at the end ... your direct question about me and Carlos.... Amazing! LOL!
If you do not mind, dear Richard, that is quite private and there are many eyes here, I prefer to answer your question in another way ... Ok! Β

Oh man, it's great to hear from you, Jim and thank you...alwaysΒ
Yeah my days are numbered to me remaining here too. The DA community has hardly expressed anything in the way of artistic resistance to Traitor Trump and his ilk from around the world which get uglier daily by the rise of Nationalistic racists. Porn is how those types keep their base down (pun intended). Fill their heads with trash so that their too numb to see the idealistic carnage that their "leaders" are spreading around the world.
