Description A faerie takes a bath.

This was supposed to be a quickie render fix and me just fiddling around. After a few hours of just playing I knew it was going to be worth it to really work it. Now, 2 days later... here I am... whew!

Poser 6 and photoshop, heavenly hair brushes,

Rain brushes by FxWolve at [link] Brushes found here: [link]

And I dare you to find where I used a ripple brush by DaughterOfSnape [link] found here: [link]

Its not where you'd think. I made the visible ripples with the pen tool in photoshop and applied a layer effect.

Anyway... hope you enjoy!

Holycrap! The detail on this one is simply stunning! All the little things you find in a forest... wow. And her hair and expression really just impress me.
You did that with Poser? Look like I underestimate the program.
Brava. *applause*

I've yet to really do something like that with poser again. The hair was done in photoshop with heavenly hair brushes.... so no hair in poser on that one. Some of the things with the water like the ripples in the pond and the droplets at the end of the water flowing from her hand were also done in photoshop. The wings, though rendered, were made translucent in photoshop as well. It was really a team effort between poser and photoshop

Still Poser can do some great things... I just need to learn how to do them all LOL

Glad you enjoyed my work.

That's really cool. I swear by photoshop, so I can see how you'd have done some of those effects using it now that you mention it. The harmony between the two programs on this piece is just seemless, though. Well done.

I've worked in Photoshop for over a decade, I swear by it too.

REEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLYYYY Relistic skin mapping. For a minute there i thought she was a real girl with wings photoshoped on.

you'll have to thank Danie and Marforno for that body and texture. I believe Medea is the one I used for that along with a DM pose (same people).

Here's a link to the product I used. [link]

Everything I have seen from DM so far as been really good.

The wings were and weren't photoshoped on. They were rendered. To create the translucence of the wings however I rendered the image three times. Once with no wings, Once with one wing and another time with both wings. I played around with the opacity of the different layers until I had exactly what I wanted from the wings.

Thanks for making me a friend

thats amazing! the wings dont look in place, like they are just floating behind her not actually sproating from her, think it has to do with the way the hair is.

the quality is awesome

yeah it might well be the way the hair is that gives the impression. I actually rendered this image 3 times so that I could work on the translucence of the wings. If I hadn't worked with the opacity settings of the additional render layers in photoshop, the wings would have been as they are in "Wheeee", which is pretty solid. The Wings are "smart propped" to the model's back so I can assure you that they do indeed sprout out of her. But this is the trouble with trying to make "realistic" fantasy stuff... hehe.

Still, glad you liked it. Thank you for taking the time to look at it

I am so glad you do! I tend not to compress things that much because I hate the loss that comes with it. If I am specificially designing an image for websites, rather than art -- I'll compress it more.
