She seemed depressed to me, so I sat beside her, ran my fingers through her fur, and talked to her.

She endured my affection for twenty seconds before reaching back and snaring a chunk of my skin in her jaws. I laughed and cried out in pain. She let go. I did it again. She bit me again, eliciting the same laugh/cry from me.

This is normal for our relationship.
I pet her, she gives me love bites. If I keep petting her, the love bites become more painful. Though I don't think she thinks of her bites as love bites. lol
