I think lighting and shading is one of those things where there isn’t that many different ways to do it (tho I could be wrong).
Yeah I like to change the colour of the lines cause it looks odd with just black, even if the subject I’m drawing has a dark colour scheme I’ll still change it to a very dark brown or blue

Thank you! Yeah I like to do the same, my style/how I do things normally comes from what I’ve seen others do.
yeah this is pretty much how I draw a lot of things, start with shapes, refining the sketch over and over and so on.
