I thought to myself what is Street Fighter Alpha 3 was made into a tag team game? Who would partner up? Well I thought about it and here's who I'd see as teams:Ryu & Ken: Not sure why, it just came to me in a dream I guess.
Chun-Li & Gen: Chinese Kung-Fu fighters with rapid speed attacks and furious kicks. Plus they share a connection to Chun-Li's father.
Charlie & Guile: American blonde air force officers who are also best friends/teacher & student.
E. Honda & Zangief: Boisterous bruisers who bonded in the game.
Sakura & Karin: Japanese schoolgirls who happen to be rivals.
Dan & Blanka: Self-taught fighters who are also buddies/self-proclaimed teacher & "student".
Guy & Cody: Heroes from Final Fight 1 minus Haggar
Fei-Long & Dee Jay: Celebrities who are also friends according to Yun.
Dhalsim & T. Hawk: In the '94 SF movie but left out of the games based on the movie. They are also more spiritual than the other fighters.
Mika & Maki: Two blonde Japanese tomboys who have the same four letters in their name.
Yun & Yang: Identical twins (I know Yang's not entirely playable in reality, but in this idea, he is).
Birdie & Eagle: The English characters from SF1 with golf puns as names.
Rose & Ingrid: Women with mystical powers.
Sodom & Rolento: Former Mad Gear members who are also friends.
Sagat & Adon: Thai kickboxers who use cat names in their attacks who are formerly teacher & student.
Juni & Juli: German dolls, who worked together in the game.
Balrog & Vega: Bison's key henchmen.
Bison & Cammy: Bison and his head doll/female clone (lover if you believe the animated series).
Akuma & Evil Ryu: Two dark fighters who use the Raging Demon.

Some pairings are spot on, but there's a lot here that doesn't make any sense at all! Why does Cammy pairs up with freaking M.Bison, instead of Juri? Why does Chun-Li joined Gen if she hates him so much, why does Adon joined Sagat for the same reason?! What are two most useless characters in SF history Juni and Juli shadoloo dolls are doing here, instead of more interesting and original characters with their own move sets??! And finally what on earth was the reason to pair up Fei Long with Dee Jay? LOOL wasn't it better idea to team him up with someone like Gen, while Chun-li Would be better as teams with Cammy??! As for T.Hawk and Dhalsim well...at least i can see the point of this, but still there's not that much in common between them aside from morals and similar personalities, but thats probably one of the better tag partners for Dhalsim as i can't really think of much better fit! Eagle should have been partners with Dudley, R.Mika with El Fuerte (i know El Fuerte isn't that good, but at least he's not a Juni or Juli in terms of move sets, and he's kinda unique on his own!...and there's no one who fits R.Mika as a tag partner as much as El Fuerte, besides she is his idol and he worships her and her style, which is another great reason for teaming up!)! A lot about these is wrong, but lets just say that pairs like - Ryu/Ken, Guile/Charlie, Zangief/E.Honda, Sakura/Karin (despite their rivalry in Alpha, they're still friends! At least...Sakura thinks so...LOL), Dan/Blanka, Yun/Yang, Ingrid/Rose, Rolento/Sodom, Vega/Balrog (despite their obvious hatred for each other, they still work together effectively as a team!) and thats it! Evil Ryu shouldn't be here, because there's already one Ryu (no i don't really consider multiple version of the same person as a different character, thats why i hate Oni and Evil Ryu, they're not different personalities just the same person with their EVIL nature exposed! I was really mad when they took over select screen spots in SSF4AE!), As for Akuma he's more like lone warrior and preffers to work alone, so in my opinion Capcom did great job by making him final boss with tag partner in SFxT as i can't really imagine he'd will to work with anyone at all! (maybe Garuda would be the only exception, but those is Arika's character from the EX series, so i don't think we should count any of those...)! Other suggestions for tag teams - Haggar/Maki (I know Haggar has never been legit SF character, but he appeared in recent MVC iteration, so Capcom already has character model, they just need to tweak it to fit SF4 pallete style and fix him a bit, so he'd be perfect SF character, so its notl ike they have to start him over from scratch!), Elena/Ibuki, Alex/Abel, Gill/Seth (similar goals, both are considered "lame" and "cheap" final bosses, both are cocky as it fits final boss characters, both created mysterious evil organizations to lure in fighters all over the world, both are of the same height and constitution, both are kinda naked and have strange colored body! seriously it goes perefectly together like Yin and Yang, or Yun and Yang if you will! LOL other obvious tag team partner for Gill is Urien off course), C.Viper/Poison (would work wonders as a team!), Hugo/Birdie (have a lot in common!) Gouken/Retsu (if Capcom made Retsu return, other than that i can't see anyone, who would be good enough as Gouken's tag partner...or maybe Oro would make it justice?...dunno...) and thats pretty much it!

It says Alpha in the title, so obviously many of the pairs you mentioned won't work.Β That being said, the only teams I disagree with are Zangief/E. Honda, R. Mika/Maki, and Rose/Ingrid.

Ok i confess that i didn't read much into that "Alpha" thing a lot, so i did not pay attention when i posted my comment! But regarding Rose/Ingrid pairings, just to let you know Ingrid is tied with Rose as she possesses the power to remove any kind of evil brainwash and Rose worked for M.Bison, because guess what? He brainwashed her and used her for his evil shadaloo plans! So yes Ingrid is PERFECT tag team partner for Rose and there will never be a better one...just saying...

Rose wasn't brainwashed, she shares Bison's soul.Β So when Ryu killed Bison, he inhabited her body.Β Ingrid doesn't have ties to anyone, in fact she isn't even human, she is some kind of goddess.Β Plus, she is not a canon character.

Please open google and enter this "list of street fighter characters", then click first wikipedia link that will pop up, proceed to that page, then when you'll see list of all characters in SF universe in the "contents" tab, find Ingrid, click that and then read what it says there! That is in case you insist i made it all up! Then tell me i'm wrong after that!...For some stupid reason, deviantart won't allow me to post direct links here, so i had to explain to you step by step how to get to the page i got that from...oh and please no bullsh*t like "wikipedia isn't reliable source, it can be editted by anyone!..." and bla bla bla! Okay, so she is the Goddess of the Sun.Β She was a playable character in a SF game along with Yun, whose appearance is also non-canon.Β It can also be assumed that the appearance of Maki and Eagle was also non-canon.Β I don't know what it is you were trying to prove to me, but I don't see it.

*facepalm* She's not just Goddes of the Sun! She's capable of releasing people from brainwashing veil! And Rose is in fact (believe it or not) was brainwashed by Bison, so she was forced to work for him! So now if you can put two and two together you'd realize that Ingrid and Rose are best couple! Besides it even says, Ingrid respects Ryu and Rose! And since Ryu already got perfect tag team partner, it'd only be rational to make Rose Ingrid's tag partner...

I like the concept but see a few problems.
1.-I can't see Akuma teaming up with anybody, nor Evil Ryu for that matter.
2.-Chun Li and Gen are connected, but Gen is an assassin and Chun works for Interpol. Good luck trying to make that story work =\
