Chapter 1

"Ivan?" She sounded like she was in a wide corridor. Her echoes keep replaying in my head, getting faster every second. I open my eyes in a silent pitch black room lying on my back, wrists and ankles strapped to a rough platform, maybe concrete. I panicked, squirming trying to slip free of the straps, then I heard a door creak open. I knew where I was now, I was in my basement. Thump thump thump. I hear somebody's, or somethings, footsteps getting louder and closer. I hold my breath and the footsteps stop, all I hear is breathing. "B**ch!" The thing in the room yelled, the thing's voice sounded like it has been rotting for a long time. I jumped really hard and twisted my wrist. I shrieked in pain and fright as it placed a pebble under my back. I tried to raise my back so it wouldn't press on the pebble. I couldn't keep my back up any more as my back slammed on the pebble. I screamed in pain. The thing walked away, listening to the footsteps I move my back side to side and move the pebble out from underneath me. I got blinded as the light bulb above me flickered on. I look to the right and see him, he's tall, wearing a tuxedo, he has pure white skin, no eyes, no nose, he has a wide mouth with half stitched shut, the other half going all the way to the back of his cheek. Blood starts to drip from the corner of his mouth. He walks towards me reaching his hands for me and twists my head so that I look to my right. I see my moms head nailed to the wall, I look at the ceiling and see my dads head impaled with a knife to the ceiling. "Why did you do this?!" I ask crying in every negative emotion. "We're going to play a game, they played too, but as you can see, they failed." He said walking in circles around the platform I was on. He reached his hand to my face, his other hand holding my head steady, and whispered "It's almost just like hide & seek"
