14mm? That's one hefty projectile. Assuming it's accelerated to high sub-sonic or supersonic speeds, how does the basic infantryman handle that level of recoil?

They don't, this weapon is more of a specialty or a proof-of-concept, it's not used standard issue in any military under the Conglomerate
also it's subsonic, the supersonic prototype had a tendancy to dislocate people's shoulders

Oh my.
Given that magnetically driven weapons have so little in the way of moving parts, it does make sense that it wouldn't have much to go on for recoil compensation.
