Days earlier.
Leslie, Allie, and Amanda had come to the same hotel on their way to explore the local castles in the Loren region of France. They had not planned at stopping at this hotel, but had no hotel reservations anywhere else that night. In fact the train had arrived one day earlier than expect. So the women had nothing planned for the day and decided to check into the hotel shown. The 3 friends noticed the pool and after a long journey felt a refreshing swim was what they needed. Dressing up for the swim, the girls found the swim such a treat that they had not left the pool even into the night. This is when the magic began. The moon was full that night and as the ladies swam more their style of swimming became more efficient, scales appeared on their legs, their bathing suits where either taken off or broken off from the transformation process. Lesile's hair even changed color to be the same color of her new scales. Allie, kept her poor eyesight and was reserved to keeping her glasses on throughout the swim and after the transformation to help her see. It only accured in the morning to Leslie, Amanda, and Allie that they where mermaids now, but with nowhere to go, reserved to the magical moonlight pool at their new residence in France.
