I like this, while I admit that on a real pumpkin the stem would extend from the top of their heads, at least it makes better sense that you attached them to the ground thru their stem. Most of the pumpkin TFs you see have the stem just cut off and hanging in mid-air. Good Job! I like this.

for the place, it is usually put on the top of the head yes.
But I don't agree with this transposition. Since it is on the top of the pumpkin, it can be around all over the human body but what is the use of the stem? The stem is here to connect and provide nutriment from the plant to the pumpkin. What is the more close to it from a human view? It is the umbilical cord where the mother connect and provide nutrient to the baby. So into my idea, as the pumpkins can't have nutrient by themself and the wast produce by the human body can't be expulse, the stem has the function of a new umbilical cord. So it connect naturaly where the first one was. At the nostril.

Actually I agree with your logic, what I was getting at is that so many artists include a stem, whether on the head or wherever, but the stem pic they use is one that has been cut off, or broken off, or is in no way connected to the plant and the earth. I meant to complement you on not going that route. Since transformations vastly rearrange the form, where the stem connects does not really bother me, just that it connects the new pumpkin, squash, or whatever, to the plant or ground as it should. Again, Good Job.
