For every image you draw or story you write about your mustang(s), you'll have the opportunity to earn a set amount of XP for them. XP is counted per mustang, so if multiple mustangs are visible in the image they'll be counted separately. You may draw other people's mustangs, but it will not count for XP for them, as it's up to them to work their mustangs themselves! XP also can't be earned for town horses.
Below are the XP earnings for each piece. All art must be submitted to the gallery in order to earn XP.
- Uncolored, Very Sloppy Coloring, or Super Sketchy Lines: Half of the XP that the piece would otherwise earn.
- Headshot (less than 50% of body): 1
- Partial Body (at least 50% of body): 2
- Full Body (at least 75% of body): 3
- + Shading (any method (cell, dodge/burn, etc) is fine as long as it's obviously shaded): 1
- + Simple Background: 1
- + Detailed* Background: 3
- *Detailed backgrounds are pretty much anything that looks like a "real" background (meaning not just random colors, a gradient, etc). One solid bar of "grass" and one solid bar of "sky" won't cut it, though. Basically, chances are that as long as you put some decent effort into it, it'll count for detailed background points.
- + Headshot/Partial/Full-Silhouette Handler/Rider (just a hand, arm, etc won't count, must be a headshot or significant amount of body, or full body silhouette): 1
- + Full Body Handler/Rider (no stick figures): 2
- + Simple Animation (ear flick, eye blink, birds in the background, etc): 1
- + Complex Animation (walk/trot/run cycle, limb movement, head toss, etc): 3
- Stories*: 1 per 100 words (rounded up if above _50)
- *The specific horse must be a primary character in the story. Having them just be a background character that's mentioned once or twice won't count for literature points. They must actually be part of the story. This is up to admin discretion.
