Personality Ian is a calm and collected person for the most part. As he works at a kindergarten, he has a lot of patience with children, but less so with adults, his behavior towards them being more on the intolerant side. That is because of his deeply rooted misconception that grown-ups (coughmencough) always have to look strong and dependable. Ian, himself, has a hard time opening up about how he really feels because of this.

When it comes to pokemon, he cares deeply for his partners and in return, they sometimes help him with his kindergarten duties, especially Lancel. Battle wise, Ian isn't a very strong nor passionate
trainer, but he will have a friendly match if asked.

Ian strongly values family bonds and, having grown up without his parents, his biggest dream is to have a big family of his own. However, Ian can get a little overbearing because he was used to being in charge of everything from a young age. He might ignore other people's opinions and do as he deems best, which might sound selfish, when in reality he just feels like it's his duty to protect everyone.

Character history
Ian was born in the Unova region where he lived together with his parents and his younger brother Heath up until the age of 11. Their parents were scientists who were barely home at all, and thus Ian had to care for his little brother who was experiencing speech development issues. After the parents disappeared during a research, the two boys were sent to the Verot region to live with some distant relatives in the forest biome.

Growing up, Ian continued to resent his parents for their carelessness and promised to himself to be completely devoted to his future family.

He's been working as a kindergarten teacher for seven years and he's respected by his colleagues for his great personality and loved by the children for his gentleness.

History: Lancel has been with Ian ever since he lived in Unova, as a sewaddle. He is Ian's closest friend and the one who understands him the best, as they've been through thick and thin.

History: Cookie used to steal food from the kindergarten Ian works at, making everyone upset. He always did it quickly and secretly so that he wouldn't be found out, but Ian eventually caught him and planned to hand him to the local police who could bring him back to the forest. However, he changed his mind as cookie surprisingly became the kids' favorite mascot and eventually decided to keep him.

Personality: Kaz is a very shy pokemon who stays mostly inside his pokeball. Most of Ian's attempts to get close to him have failed miserably. He is also terrified of crowds (especially crowds of children) and hates accompanying Ian to work. Kaz's personality reminds Ian a lot of his younger brother so he unknowingly pays more attention to him than to his other pokemon.

History: Kaz was an abra hatchling at the local Day Care who was especially bred by a veteran trainer for fighting purposes. However, given his extreme shyness, he was deemed unfit to be part of the trainer's team and was donated to the kindergarten for the children to play with. Noticing that kaz didn't enjoy being around children, Ian decided to personally take care of him until he is able to open up.
