I pity the poor DonnieXApril fans when Casey arrives in the show, don't get me wrong, Casey is awesome and he makes half of the fights fun, but still I have friends who are DonnieXApril fans, and all I can tell them was this "Just be prepared for whatever happens"

Between you and me, I'm really looking forward to meeting this kid. His previous incarnations have really added a lot to the story. And, I know, he can be a jackass. But at least he's a loyal and protective jackass.
BTW: I'm familiar with his reoccurring backstory. And, it's not entirely his fault he's such a mess. It's his father. Arnold Jones was a screwup and a drunk who couldn't do a good job of taking care of his family. So we might as well cut his kid some slack.

Technically, that's only in the IDW comics. We don't really know yet what exactly drives Casey to be a vigilante. Probable has something to do with the new mutants showing up in New York.

By the looks of the new trailer for season 2, I was wrong. Mutagen Man is more than capable of taking on three of the Turtles at once, so at least he's going going to make for a pretty tough villain.
Dammit Timothy, you had one job- Not be an ass, and you screwed it up!
... or did he? Is he doing out of revenge, orders by the bad guys, just gone nuts- I don't know anymore.
Bah, whatever the case- lets bring on this incarnation of Mutagen Man and a newer, younger Casey Jones ready to kick some mutant ass!

Casey finally arrives AND Mutagen Man returns? Season 2 is lookin' awesome!

Personally, I think Mutagen Man is on the good side. To just make him evil not only... changes his character entirely, but they set up a good opertunity for character growth with him and that would be a massive waste.
It's easy to think he's gone insane from what happened in his last episode, but if that's the case, why wasn't he snarling and bangingin on the jar if he wanted to fight them? He doesn't seem to have any kind of ill will towards the turtles, it just came off as blind rage.
But in turn, why does it look like he's going after April like that? I'm guessing they know each other, no reason to keep the Timothy thing a secret, so she could be out with him, and it looks like it it's at night to avoid attention.
It's assumed he's there to protect April... but what if she's there for his sake? I don't know why, but I can imagine this scenario of her taking him to his home to... explain some things... I just have this image of them in an old fashioned living room, sitting down - his mom in utter shock, staring at aΒ nervous 16 year old red headed girl sitting next to... that on the sofa, twiddling his massive thumbs... "Soo... Mom...uhm.... This is April!"
*She gives a small wave, laughing nervously*

"... Now, I----'m sure you have... one or two questions..."
One thing that came to mind, during the Casey trailer he says, "Are you kidding me!? Do you know what this is!? This is Casey Jones vs evil robot ninjas!" Sounds a little off in the writing there. I'm guessing April stops Casey from laying the beatdown on Mutagen Man, which makes him to question her sanity.
I did have one theory to back up him going evil, which leads to him working with the Kraang to help supply his mutagen supply (concept art showed he had canisters of the stuff locked into the back of the suit to keep him alive it looked like), and in turn he would do their bidding- say, capture April.

But then, that idea flew out the window when a new plot element for season 2 was shown. In that case, Donny will be able to keep him going for a while.
And... I don't see any reason why the Kraang or Shredder would recruit him, and likewise I can't see him siding with these guys that, along with himself, are responsible for this mess.
But the biggest reason, he just has potential to be a pretty funny character, given the Pulverizer's personality and his never give up attitude.
Well, we'll find out soon enough how this will play out.

You're right, I'd kindly delete that unneeded 't' ... if deviantart would let me.
Honestly, I figured the line was spliced together from two separate scenes. The first one, him referring to Mutagen Man as she's trying to stop the fight (or it could be addressed to one of the Turtles, really) and the last line about robo ninjas, I'm in the party that's expecting the return of robot foot soldiers (Tim isn't exactly a robot... or a ninja...).
But yeah, it's still way to early to tell. I'm just throwing my own thoughts around. If he goes bad, I'm really curious to see how that happens (as much potential as there is for him to develop into an actual hero, there's still a chance he won't learn anything and could possibly turn on the turtles because of how warped his sense of reality is. I'm fine with whatever they choose to do with him, their track record so far has been pretty impressive.
And honestly, I'm absolutely loving this version of Casey. Everything we saw of him from in the trailer, his writing, concept design and voice - He shaping up to be pretty awesome. Really, I'm glad they took their time with him and saved him for this season in order to expand the story, rather than having him there from the get go. Smart choice, and gives fans something wait for and speculate.
The next season just can't get here soon enough :/

Actually, I think that's Don's doing. I was under the impression he would make mechanical shoes or something... but he must have taken advantage of the fact Timothy could use his liquid body to move around, so he comes up with the idea of making glove like limbs for the jar out of some material, which hold the hand/leg forms together and allow him to move around.
Though, I can't think of any reason for the holes in the hands... well, if the liquid can eat through pipes and wood, it could be a good feature to have if he needs to get fight Kraang robots or any of Baxter's toys.

Ah, I knew Timothy would become Mutagen Man eventually since I follow Technodrome forum discussions regularly. But I am now curious as to what Timothy's role as Mutagen Man will be in season 2. From the looks of it, they're trying to turn him into a generic mindless bad guy attacking April and Casey for no reason.Β
