It may look as though I am playing with the fire here. I am. Fire is awesome in it's primal way. But I am also arranging that stick in my hand to burn.

That stick is my old marshmallow roasting stick, I've had it for 10 years or so. It broke recently and was too short to resharpen and use. So I gave it a good, final burning. A lot of smores were made with that stick, a lot of campsites are littered with it's shavings every time I cut the burnt away from the body. And now it is ash.

Goodbye old friend.

But, as luck or providence or whatever I found a new stick. As tall as I am. Should last me a few more summers now.
