i can't speak spanish, but i know some italian words, because we make often make vacation in italy. and spanish and italian are a bit similar, so it isn't too difficult to understand some spanish words.

Thats because Spanish, French and Italian belong to the Romance/Romanic or Latin Languages, and the words we use have just a lil variation in every language, so is easier to understand each other ^^
For example, I know what an Italian is saying by just listening to his in his nativa language, same with french, and viceversa, thats the why you can actually understand ^^
And is curious, but sometimes Danke sounds like 'Thanke' xD

now that you mention it, there's really a certain similarity. but I think it also depends on the dialect. because i live in bavaria and we say "danke" and not "thanke". hm... at the moment i can't remember of the dialect that uses "thanke" but i'm sure i've heard it before... *think* ... no, i can't remember yet.
but another question. can you tell me what's "love" in spanish?

No no, I meant, that Danke sounds like Thanks, but with a little variation, and it could sound like 'Thanke'<--invented by me, or at least thats what I think LOL xD
