Description
In olden Europe when There's a Dragon, the dragon destroys villages and hoards gold until a heroic Knight comes and slays it.Nowadays, Dragons are constantly taking human like form and come under distress until a heroic knight comes and does something very different from slaying (nudge nudge.)
My, haven't dragon human relations (pun intended) come a long way. These two pairs aren't isolated incidents either. Dragons seem to have obtained the swinger status of "Greek God" as of late.
The Offspring of this is always a hero of some sort- of course -with Surprisingly few mutations (Although I bet Roy or the DQVIII hero have like 49 chromosomes and can't have any kids).
I'm just wondering how this became a Trend. Who was the first one to pitch "Hero gets down with Dragon girl"

postscriptOh, yeah, Even Disney's crossed into this with the Cartoon American Dragon.
postpostscriptOne more, I don't have all the details for this one, but apparently the last season of Yugioh had an Egyptian girl that turned into a Kaiba's dragon. Sheesh.

Actually, Ninian is half dragon (she has a human father, whose identity I won't tell unless asked since it is a spoiler that is only revealed under certain conditions in Hector's story), incidentally, that makes Roy one-fourth dragon.

LOL XD now that you mention, haven't dragon "half breeds" and such gotten to be obnoxiously cliche? I wonder what would happen to a pheonix half breed? "oh noes! I think I just burned all mah clothes off agains!!"

Spirited away was essentially platonic (at least I hope it was. the Girl was 7 and the guy was technically dead. That's all kinds of wrong).
And I focused specifically on dragons (especially European style ones) because they have become unusually accepted.
