So I finished Shadow today and it didn't go as smoothly as I wanted. The main issue was that the Gear Shredder I made for her was missing some small parts and the ones that were there were incomplete and so weak they fell apart in my hands even though the test versions I printed myself worked just fine except they had supports in them that I didn't remove because they were just going to be for testing and this is annoying because I was planning on putting it on my Shapeways store but I should edit it so that parts don't break before I add it. I ended up using some parts from the test versions to replace the parts that were broken. The other problem is that I was thinking about adding my Shadow upgrade to my Shapeways store but its so big that it needs a sintershell(well it doesn't need it but they recommend it) which is basically a mesh that goes around the parts so that its easier to pack and etc that you cut open and take out the parts which I've never tested before. The other problem is that even with the sintershell which sometimes reduces the cost to print, the kit would still cost around 140 dollars and thats just the cost Shapeways charges and thats without me setting how much I want to be paid and I don't want to have someone buy it and have them email me saying that it doesn't work because then I would feel terrible. I'm pleased with how Shadow turned out both in terms of her robot form and her jet form which is a little over a foot long from wing tip to wing tip. Its a bit annoying that the wings don't hold on as securely as I planned and thats probably due to some supports that are still stuck in the holes of the wings that are really hard to remove without ruining the part. There is a minor annoyance in the fact that the minigun on the front of the cockpit extends past the legs slightly so it requires the cockpit to be angled back slightly to prevent the figure falling forward. However, it helps hold up the figure when the back heavy wings are attached.
