A replacement for the M16, the Zeus 556 is the standard arm of the Confederate Army and the military of the Republic of Texas. Introduced after the Second American Civil War by the American Tactical Arms Company, or AmTak for short, the Zeus 556 retains the M16's 5.56x45mm NATO round and mag. Intended to be a bullpup assault rifle, the Zeus 556's barrel is the same length as that of a standard M16A2, while the weapon itself is about one-fifth shorter. The Zeus 556 has seen service in Europe with the Confederate Forces stationed on the Vistula Fortress Line in the German-Polish Reich and the Paris Protectorate.-----

What's the practicality of what's basically an american-made AUG, when Steyr Mannlichter would be suing for royalties for every gun of this design sold?

For one, by the time this weapon was made, Austria, like almost all of Europe, was fighting off a Russian invasion. And their is a thing called copyright theft. In a world as anarchic as the one the Zeus 556 was made in, its sorta hard, especially if say AmTak was owned by the Confederate government, the same government that would oversee any court cases on the matter.

just did my own experimentation with the setup, wow! you are right to say that it's 1/5th the size of the M16 (and I do say that the setup does have some badass qualities id you ask me)

the barrel actually seems to be longer, but the rifle would still be shorter then the M16 rifle, (that's why I love Bullpup)
