Now for the Jill. The Jill has a bit of Namehage to him (a type of Japanese snow creature unique to Hokkaido) The sky is either a blizzard, aurora lights, or a psychadelic mess. Your choice. I always thought Jill was a weird name for the monster. As a kid I thought it had something to do with Jack and Jill, no idea why. But then, whilst doing this picture, I realized the Japanese name for the monster (ジッル）is almost identical to the phonetic spelling of 'chill' (チッル）. It's name is a pun on the word 'chill' that didn't get localized super well. Katakana 'ji' can be written with either シ or チ and the diacritic mark, but ジ is more common (or at least what my keyboard wants to type).
