A motif that is shared with all my kaiju is that there always some sort of calling or sign of that kaiju’s arrival. Like that with Legendary Godzilla causing a tsunami. Such as Azaka Tonnerre having high winds and storm clouds form, Skadi causing the temperature to drop and snowfall or Jörmungandr causing mass flooding, storm surges and even tsunamis. But with Thanatos there wasn’t a weather phenomenon associated since he is a poison/death theme kaiju. So with that I found the next best thing associated with mass death, crows and ravens. Everywhere he goes Thanatos spreads poison and death even by just flying by, all those corpses would attract hungry birds. Crows and ravens are very intelligent birds, so they would figure “stay around giant scary death bug” would grant them free meals. Where ever you see black birds gathering at masses, be wary for Death’s Bells to come tolling for you.
