Eo burst out of Tue hole, her pelt bushed in fear as she raced throw the stones. Behind her Fertalia charged after he, his long, huge sharp claws reaching out to get her. Suddenly a weight fell on her and she tumbled to the ground.
"Thought you could escape?" A voice hissed. Eo looked at her attacker. It was Adiris, Spirits old mate. The dogs black fur glinted and Eo could see the horns protruding from her head where her ears should be.

Fertalia and the rest of his Kempa joined her.

"Going somewhere?" Fertalia snarled. He raised a paw above her, and she closed her eyes, waiting for her death.

Out of no where a white shape flung itself into Fertalia, swiping its class against his throat.

It was Spirit.

Eo scrambled up, her heart pounding in terror.

"Run!" Spirit roared.

"I ccan't leave you here," Eo protested.

"I SAID RUN!!!!!"

With that Eo charged away, tears staining her face.

"Spirit," she whispered before slipping into darkness.
