Description
The photo was taken from the pedestrian zone of the Metro Bridge / Фото було зроблено з пішохідної зони моста ''Метро''.One of the seven bridges in Kyiv (all cross the Dnipro River). This bridge is designed to continue ''the red branch'' of the metro of the capital. Transport is also moving on the sides of the bridge , and pedestrian zones are located on the sides , but it can be dangerous there to walk , because the proximity to the water (and to the roadway , where cars of different sizes move at high speed) often causes strong gusts of wind.
So , if someone try to read the text written below , they will understand why the name of Dynamo K / Динамо К sounds and now , although a long time has passed and the champions of Europe now again are ''Bavaria Munich'' , and almost no one mentions Dynamo..
This large Fan Graffiti (those 3 words means ''Ultras of the Dynamo Kyiv'') was made on the right bank of the Dnipro river (main river of Kyiv , which divides the capital into two major parts. The Dnipro river is also the largest river in Ukraine and the third largest in Europe after the Volga/Волга and Danube/Дунай). If you look at Kyiv from above (for example by using google maps) , you will find out that the left part of the city will be at the right bank , and the right part of the city will be at the left bank. The graffiti was made on the right bank (where the Independence Square is located).
So , Today on (October 6 , 2020) , Dynamo Kyiv (1927) celebrates the 45th anniversary of the victory in the European Super Cup. It was on October 6, 1975 Dynamo Kyiv defeated Bavaria (Bayern München) in the return match (match-answer or -response) and won the trophy.
The "white-blues" got the right to play in the match for the Super Cup thanks to the victory in ''The UEFA Cup Winners' Cup'' (the tournament which preceded the modern UEFA Champions League) and in both meetings Dynamo Kyiv beat FC Bayern Munich , who at that time were the current winners of ''the European Champions Cup''.
Those matches made Dynamo K a club legend..
The history of the European Super Cup begins in 1972 year. The tournament was founded by the Dutch newspaper ''De Telegraaf''. However , the first draw , between Ajax and Glasgow Rangers , had an unofficial status and was not held under the auspices of UEFA , as the European Football Union disqualified the Scottish club from the European Cups for a year for improper behavior of its fans in the Cup final. A year later, the trophy was played by FC Milan and AFC Ajax , then there was a break in the tournament , as Bayern and Magdeburg could not agree on the dates of the matches. [1]
And in 1975 , after the victory in the Cup Winners' Cup final over Hungarian ''Ferencvaros'' (3:0) , Dynamo Kyiv claimed on the title of the strongest team on the European continent. The opponent was very formidable - ''Bayern Munich'' , which beat ''Leeds United'' (2-0) in the final of the European Champions Cup and thus defended the trophy , the German team had players who were world and European champions, this team before the match was the undisputed favorite of the confrontation with "Dynamo" K. [1]
However , in the first match, which took place on September 9 in Munich , Dynamo unexpectedly won. The only goal in the match in the 66th minute was scored by the future owner of the "Golden Ball - 1975" Oleg Blokhin. This goal , the most famous among the many goals of the famous scorer , will later be called the "goal of the century". Blokhin got the ball on the side of the Dynamo field , then he boldly went alone to the opponents' gates , beating on his way the entire defense of the Bavarians , led by the legendary Franz Beckenbauer. [1]
By the way , for some reason the Soviet television did not broadcast that game - the fans learned about the course of events at the Munich "Olympic Stadium" from the words of the commentator of the hockey match , which was shown live. And the "goal of the century" performed by Blokhin , which was admired all over Europe, football fans in the USSR saw only the next day in the program "Time". [1]

I) In 1972 , the German national team ( the FRG or West Germany ) became the European football champion.
In the qualifying round , the Germans won against Poland , Turkey and Albania. On April 29, 1972, the Bundestim (other name of the German national football team) beat the English 3-1 in London , thanks , to goals from Ulrich "Uli" Hoeneß / Hoeness , Günther Netzer and Gerd Müller. In the return match (match-answer) in Berlin , a zero draw was recorded. In the semi-final , the Belgians were defeated 2–1 , and in the final the Germans met the USSR team and scored three unanswered goals (Gerd Müller's double and Herbert Wimmer's goal) and won the European Cup. [2]
II) In 1974 , the German national team ( the FRG or West Germany ) also won the home world championship.
At first , in the group stage , Germany won 1-0 over Chile and won 3-0 Australia. Then , on June 22 , for the first and last time in the history of official football meetings , the FRG team faced the GDR team ( the GDR or East Germany ) , and the East Germans inflicted an unexpected defeat on their western neighbors thanks to a goal by Jurgen Sparwasser , which allowed the GDR to leave the group from the first place. In the second round , the FRG passed Poland , Sweden and Yugoslavia. In the final match , the Dutch opened the scoring already in the second minute thanks to Johan Neskens , but in the 25th minute Paul Breitner equalized the score from the penalty spot , and in the 43rd minute Gerd Müller put an end to the match. The FRG national team , having won the 1972 European Championship and 1974 World Championship , for the first time in history has issued a “golden double” at the national team level. From European teams the French managed to do the same in 1998 and 2000 , as well as the Spaniards in 2008 and 2010 , defending the title of champions Europe in 2012. [2]

Before the return match (match-response) in Kyiv , the excitement was incredible. There were far more people willing to watch the match live than the 100,000-seat Kyiv Central Stadium (later the Republican Stadium and the Olimpiysky National Sports Complex now) could hold. The Sports Committee received more than 500,000 applications , including collective ones. Ticket prices were higher than usual , with many football fans asking the lucky owners to resell the ticket to them for any price.
The day before the game , Dynamo , who had been taken to the base in advance to prepare for the upcoming match , learned that the star striker of the Bundesliga ( of the champions of the FRG at those times ) Gerd Müller had not arrived in Kyiv. However , there were enough famous football players in ''Bayern Munich'' : Josef Dieter ''Sepp'' Maier (goalkeeper) , Hans-Georg "Katsche" Schwarzenbeck , Franz Beckenbauer , Karl-Heinz "Kalle" Rummenigge and a company.. Every name was known in the world of football and sports. In short , Bayern arrived in Kyiv with the firm intention of winning Europe's top football trophy - that's what the UEFA Super Cup was called then.
But on the football field , as in Munich , everything again followed the script of Valery Lobanovsky (coach of Dynamo Kyiv). And after the first meeting in Munich , it was no longer a surprise - "Dynamo" thundered all over Europe , and the game of the Kyiv team for many managed to become a benchmark for a new style. In the return match (match answer) , with the support of more than a hundred thousand spectators (another five thousand fit in the aisles between sectors) Kyiv from the first minutes were much faster and more ingenious in attack , created more sharp moments , and one of them turned into a logical goal shortly before the end of the first half.
And again Oleg Blokhin distinguished himself. Having received a convenient pass from the depths of the field , the forward of Kyiv developed speed , bypassed his personal guardian Hans-Georg Schwarzenbek and , entering the penalty area , punched hard in the bottom corner.
Dynamo went to the break , leading by one goal , although the score could still be much bigger : the Bavarians goalkeeper Sepp Mayer made 11 saves in the first half.
However, at the beginning of the second half , Kyiv made their advantage in the score comfortable. Schwarzenbeck again did not catch up with ''the swift-footed'' Blokhin and broke the rules on the approaches to the penalty area of Munich. While the guests (german team Bayern) were building a wall of players , there were four Dynamo players near the ball , among whom were recognized masters of standard performance - Volodymyr Muntyan and Leonid Buryak. Suddenly , Blokhin made a quick and sharp acceleration - and the ball after his shot flew into the gates of Maier like a bullet.. After the second ball , no one doubted the triumph of Kyiv.
A few curious moments happened after the game , already during the award ceremony. The culprit was UEFA President Artemio Franki (By his name was named the stadium in Italy , FC Fiorentina plays its home matches on this stadium).
First , he arrived at the game without medals for the winners , claiming that his suitcase was ''lost'' at the airport on the way from Rome during a transfer in Vienna. Therefore , Dynamo did not receive medals immediately after the game. In addition , Mr. Frankie , coming down from the box for honored guests to the award ceremony , was unable to lift the trophy and present it to Kyiv captain Mykhaylo Fomenko (the first version of the Super Cup was almost three times heavier than the current one). And then he gestured to Dynamo to the table to take themself those a tall bowl of gold and silver. The trophy was lifted by three Dynamo players - Mykhaylo Fomenko was accompanied by Anatoliy Konʹkov and Volodymyr Veremeev.
After the return of the new champions of Europe to their homeland , the Super Cup was displayed on the current ''The European Square'' (in Kyiv) in the window of the News Agency , protected by bulletproof glass. And a year later he was transferred to a new winner - the Belgian "Anderlecht" , which became the last owner of the first version of the trophy and still keeps a huge bowl in his club museum.
"Kyivans rightfully became the owners of this wonderful trophy , because they were stronger than us. The absence of several leading performers in the "Bavaria" is not an excuse. As for Blokhin , we would run deep into the club box office to buy him. I would be happy if such a player played in my team"- said after the match , the head coach of " Bavaria" Dettmar Kramer , who was called as Napoleon in Germany.
"In the face of Bayern, we met with one of the strongest clubs in Europe. Despite the defeat, Bayern remains so. The guests showed a high-class game. We agree with Mr. Kramer that our team played better today. But his wards also looked decent. The game turned out to be interesting, and this is the merit of both teams "- Valery Lobanovsky modestly commented on the historic victory.
