Description Etymology: 御稲荷 “August Rice Carrier”

Inhabitants: all shinobi citizens of the Land of Rice Fields

History

Before the Great Split, Inaho Village was simply a collection of rice-farming communities within the San'in Region that was once visited by a wandering sage who not only taught them how to harness the mysterious energy that made their rice abundant, but helped them harvest said rice.

When the thankful people asked the sage for his name, he refused to divulge it, saying that the weight of his name was something for him and him alone to carry. He did, however, welcome the epithet the people chose for him: Inari. Rice Carrier.

Far better than a lunatic’s little raiment, or her consort’s little mooncalf…

When the great sage finally took his leave, the Inaho villagers decided to name their land’s most prominent mountain range in honor of him: Mount Oinari. The August Rice Carrier.

Trivia

All of Mount Oinari's ANBU wear fox masks.

Interesting!

The second chapter of my Pilotverse is going well. I am not sure if I can do the dialouge and stuff well since its stuff I haven't covered or done in fanfics before, or rarely do. But I will do my best.

Wow, now this is interesting.  I also love the subtle reference to Hagoromo.

I was just glad I found a way to incorporate the Inari theme without having to introduce another deity. Because by Inari, I already have enough divinities as it is!

Lol  Well, to be honest, you've always been really good at connecting the different figures of the divine within your story, but yeah, there gets a point where too much could potentially become too much, so I like where you went with this.
