Etymology: 島根 “Island Country”

History

The Shimane are an offshoot of the Senju clan via Gyūki the Eight-Tailed Ushi-Oni who lived in the future Land of Vegetables. Generations later, they split into the following clans:

• the En of the Land of Vegetables, who have arachnoid abilities and branched into the Ikeno and Shirigane clans
• the Butō* of the Land of Lightning, who have retained the ability to sprout horns and tentacles

Bloodline

As descendants the Eight-Tails, the Shimane had the abilities of ink and spiderweb manipulation, as well as the ability to grow horns and sprout or convert limbs to octopus tentacles.
