Thanks so much for this! Can this also apply for guys as well? I was trying to do this with some of my later pictures.

This is something I never thought existed. I've been doing some anatomy practice with one of my female characters and she has all of her pubic hair intact and this could help me greatly.

Oh my gosh thank you for this! Any suggestions for armpit hair?
(I'll also put this in my group too)

You could probably use the same techniques, just do straighter-ish lines rather than really curly.

damn...this could be usful
think it would be rude if I ever linked this to an artist who says to me when I commisison them that they cant really draw pubes well?
cause theres like 2 overall styles of pubes that I really love
and yours is one of them (sadly the other artist who drew them great left and I have but a single image for referance)
"might be kinda awkward if I just say can you draw them like these please" wouldn't it?

Very decent and well thought out tutorial. I see you've put a lot of thought into this. This reference will come in handy should I ever get a request to draw pubic hair. (Although personally, I prefer the smooth look. I hate it when I get hairs between my teeth. )

It's really impressive to see how seriously you take your work, even in details as these (details as thin as a... hair). Congratulations and thanks for taking the time to do this, I haven't even tried to do figure drawing for years but if I were you'd be a great source of information.

Thank you! Yeah man, go pick up a sketch book and get back into it! You know, summer's a great time to pick up a new hobby. It's super hot outside, just chill out on the couch and doodle. If it's been a while, just do super loose figure gesture drawings to wake up those muscles.

So few draw pubic hair these days, great to see artists that do.

Excellent, thanks for supporting pubic hair (a lot of artists seems to dislike them...)

Hmm, interesting. I don't really create art, but I do appreciate this tutorial as pubic hair is something rare to see mentioned (usually it's like how to draw eyes or hands).
And as far as the details section goes, I'm not sure I have a personal preference on bush(es?) but I do like the attention to detail and thought of the character's individuality when it comes to said grooming practices. I feel like that shows more thought was put into the character's design both physically and mentally, as not everyone's the same and it shows their own preferences and individuality when it comes to their pubic region. Like just making everyone shaved might seem lazier both in being less to draw, and in assuming that each character prefers to be smooth down there (not saying that's the reason anyone draws someone shaven, just saying that's a possibility for some).
Also, the model(s) in this tutorial were all female, does the same design apply to male characters? (out of curiosity, or anyone else reading, since I don't draw much...)

Thank you so much! Yup, same basic rules would apply to men, though you could make it thicker or more spread out, or even have it spread up to meld with the rest of the body hair going up the stomach towards the navel.

You're welcome. And okay, that makes sense. And would longer hair just be drawn using longer brush/pen strokes?
