Description just added new lighting and colours, should look nicer and more 'in place' for the drop

...

2 hours of painting, editing old work, cropping, and just freestylin frame to frame.. with little to no storyline to follow damn i think i caught the "02FLY" bug with this one lol.. dunno if u should continue.. BAH !

this has nothing to do with the mod, i just miss my old characters ^^ im trying to get a feel for the urban-goodness that i am trying to place in my upcoming piece for the mod.. T_T its really difficult.. i mean.. its not as if its ANY urban fight scene.. it must be special...

and im all outta ideas.. well ive got loads in that sense.. but theyre not suited for the mod cause of gameplay format.. its like how the artwork for tombraider MUST consist of F-cup bras, and NEVER anything lesser. u know? pity the artists...

mm yeah i cant really see anythihng wrong with this. its a little hard to read the panels one by one, but if you look at the page as a whole it makes sense. im amazed at how much you can accomplish in such a short time how do you do that?

hehe, no i dont plan on showing shite stuff in the market.. only makes the state of it worser than it already is with the loads of shit that is in stores today.. really spoils all the fantastic works out there, even/especially underground stuff!

i've had 1 privately published, with 3 as part of anthologies with others. Almost all of them less than 12 pages. Its satisfying being able to sell your work but the only reason is i do is so i can smell the print and pretend i own a company.

Your work, at least the nature of your comics, reminds me of a local artist called Daniel Hugo.. he draws from his dreams....

what, if it can be explained, do you draw this from?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ukitakumuki In reply to corrodedsoul [2004-03-16 23:55:37 +0000 UTC]

dreams eh.. hmm.. i draw this from my huge library of inspiration that is the world and beyond that (which is imagination and make-believe)

i draw inspiration from the industry of mankind, because i find that a touchy subject especially with regards to saving a planet.

oh and i LOve the idea and concept of journeys. or voyages etc

im trying to find him online... dont seem to have much luck

corrodedsoul In reply to ukitakumuki [2004-03-17 19:48:03 +0000 UTC]

you wont find him online.. well.. not as far as i know.
not many local artists seem to break it that way here... south africa only got adsl last year (and its thooughly overpriced AND capped since we only have one telephone operator... ridiculous i know) so few upload their stuff or even have websites.

You use such simple lines, yet achieve this supernatural level of realism! How do you do it?? The black framework is very cool, as is the very solid helicopter... I like how the man turns towards you as your eye looks down. It reminds me of a page from a comic book.

Dabs of paint, eh? They look great, whatever you call them. Do you use a tablet or do you freehand?

i freehand, with a tablet.

Hehe, thanks for the honest answer! A tablet, I'm sure, really reduces the amount of time you have to spend perfecting things! It certainly seems to work for you! Maybe I should look into one of those...

wtf is this? this just randomly popped up when i faved your latest pic....this is awesome! i love seein' different stuff from you, i like that chopper in the middle, its in a great position and helps break up the repeitition of the panels, and i like that old photograph look to the panels...i like this stuf alot. i wish i had some good constructive crits to give you, but i really dont have anything that i could say, i wouldn't do it like you, but i like what u do....if u know what i mean.
