Description
In the game he’s just like, “It’s strange, I somehow I don’t have trouble believing this crazy story,” even though he mentions his own dad. Who is he, Princess Leia??? I thought that was dumb so I rewrote the scene.Poor Martin. I love drawing him in miserable situations. He’s perpetually exhausted and is either being wracked with guilt, torn by despair, having his friends ripped apart, being beaten by random civilians or many many other ideas that I have yet to implement. The only good break he has from me is getting laid. (Ehehehehehe). But everyone roots for an underdog protagonist. It makes the ending hit harder. In this one he is having his guilt button inadvertently jabbed hard, and he shuts down, forcing HOK to sit down amongst the masses and think of something else to do.

I thought the reason he believed you easily was because of the dragon blood within him, they say that the dragon born emperors can see and understand things that other people can't so that might be why he puts his faith in the HOK.

It is like the force sensitive. “Look inside yourself. You know to be true” and all that. I even drew a comic where young Martin was drawn to his father’s gaze from afar. But it still should cause some conflict in him. It’s just too convenient. In this comic, a lot of the rejection of the revelation is brought by him being in denial. The fact that all this devastation is because of him is supposed to be very painful, especially considering his past. In my head the guilt is why he drives himself so hard trying to find the amulet, and why he feels that dying to save the world is his destiny.

Wickedly dramatic.
I see your HOK is about as socially adept as mine. ::wry smile::

She becomes more kind and understanding as time goes on. Right now she’s just trying to do a job.

Mine learned to be more diplomatic over time too.
Of course, the stress of that situation wasn't helping with their tempers or their conversation either.
