And first off, yes. He IS Australian.
A rogue of the Catchers' League (the licensing organization of Catchers), he was thought to have died years ago. However, he's been resurrected in a new form. Some believe that this new Jack Rango was one of many homunculus experiments - a homunculus being a median of human, machine, and psions. If these rumors are true, then it's proven that the organism part of a homunculus doesn't necessarily have to be human...
Regardless, as a synthetic kangaroo cyborg, he's even deadlier than as a human - and he was very deadly back in the day. Those legs improve on a kangaroo's already-swift hopping and jumping abilities, and his arms can jut forth like a piston; this mainly aids in the thrust needed for his psionic woomera (spearthrower). He's also talented with Boomer Edges, bladed boomerangs that can stick to surfaces (and targets) and explode. His trusty Boomer Chain is now equipped to his back - this is a tool that ensured that his target doesn't escape. With all this, Jack is a true killer now, with enhanced kangaroo traits and strategically-fatal weapons.
