Very nice job with all the detail, especially the places where you cared to make it almost look real-mixed-with-old-style-game. The more strange parts of it accentuate the pure old-game style, and make it a full piece. The styles may not match across the board, but when you actually view it as 800x364, the whole thing looks a lot better than when magnified by 300%.
You should watch out for saving it in .jpg, though. When I saw it, I was very surprised. But the .jpg file made the actual deviantArt on-page version blurry and you basically have to Download it, and when you view it like that anyway, it's then jpgized. To save all the detail, you should be saving it as .png. and, personally, seeing it as 300% magnification actually made it look less good than it really is. deviantArt shrinks images to 900px wide (infinite tall) on-page, and I'm sure many pixel art viewers like myself use the Magnify tool to look at all the details, so you should maybe think of keeping your art 100% magnification when it's so big, or at least 200% if you really want it magnified, as that was the best magnification I found to view it in.

on the first sight it looks ok, I looked at it about two minutes and it's hard to believe that it was made by the same person, the background is really better than the sprites. In terms of technique the sprites have got to much jaggy lines and some of them use just black outlines, other ones colored outlines and if it comes to the bg bushes they don't even use an outline. If I compare the bridge with the gate, the gate seems not to be finished. From the perspective the isometric pieces fell out. Also some textures look really odd. The thumbnail looked nice, the image itself not really - it seems to be half finished.
