Introducing the OCaps series.
I would like to introduce everyone to
my orphaned captions series.
I have been a long time fan of the
inanimate transformation captions done by many creative people on
this site, and was inspired by them to try my hand at making my own.
The problem is I don't have a very
visual mind. I tend to think in and remember narratives and
connections, not pictures. Because of this I probably went about
making captions backwards. Rather than finding pictures that
inspired me to create captions for them I came up with text, that due
to my inability to find good accompanying images has left almost
thirty pages of captions orphaned without pictures.
I have decided as part of my new years
resolution to fail more (finally a new years resolution I can't fail.
Wait...) and as such I am planning on putting out all my failed
orphaned captions.
If you would like to find a picture to
adopt one of these captions feel free to, and also feel free to
change (or add) what the person was transformed into in order to
better fit the picture. However like any adoption agency I would
like to set some requirements. I would ask that you would not put
any pictures that are too risque with my orphaned caps (ie.
Nothing that would require a mature content rating, or worse than
what you might see in a JCPenney catalog. I'm a bit of a prude.) and
that you would not change the captions in a way that makes the
explicit or would require a mature content rating.
I would also appreciate it if you do
find a parent image that meets the standards for one of my orphaned
caps that you would remember to reference me as being the author of
the original text.
With that, I should have my first set
of orphaned captions up soon, an important public service
announcement.
Sincerely,
UnCloudedIdentity

I understand where you're coming from with these, but with captions, doing this is putting the cart before the horse. Typically you have to find a picture you like and work the story around it. Doing it the other way around would be very difficult.

Yeah, as I said it was a mistake and turned out to be too difficult.

Oh. Didn't see where or when you said it was a mistake.

Part of the problem might be that I don't really look for pictures or know where to look for them. I while I love reading captions, I am uncomfortable using pictures of actual people, or their names for TF ideas.

For pictures, I just saved ones I liked as I found them. As for names, all the names I've used are made up.
