But I think Toriel kinda knows that and won't press him further if he's uncomfortable about it. She just lets him know that he is there for him. Maybe it's just me reading too much into the conversation, but based on San's expression, he feels guilty about kinda dropping the conversation when she offers a hand to him, but kinda hard to be honest about yourself when you don't like talking about yourself and have been the master of avoidance for so long. Plus probably feels it's something she shouldn't need to concern herself with.

Sans' blaster was really protective, protective with FAMILY. I don't know if it was about genocide run or something else, he said was for Undyne's green soul attack. Well, guess I have to keep reading to find out.

Sans' blaster protects anything Sans cares about! Which should include Toriel, but having never met her before it doesn't realize she's another person to associate those protective instincts with. Seeing Frisk hurt, and a stranger near them--it jumped to some conclusions :"D

Yep Sans is juuuust fine. Not xD I always find it tough drawing Sans in general and making expressions. Tbh Tori is hard for me to draw too lol

Sans' expressions can be a really fun challenge! I stick to the evidence that his grin is pretty much permanent, so I have to get his actual expression across in his eyes--if you wanna know what his expression really is, that's what you pay attention to -u-

Yeah... I know of only one instance where Sans' grin falls, and even then it's only for maybe less than a second. So I think you've got the right idea of it.

Yeah, pretty much--there's only two instances in the game where his smile drops at all (when Flowey catches everyone just before the final True Pacifist fight, and when the player hits him at the end of his fight--interestingly, they're both slightly different), and even then, it's not completely gone. So, that, and stuff from the art book and other bits seem to suggest it just... never goes away XD And I think that's a fun character design choice! So I keep it up, even if it would be 'easier' to do it the usual way -u-
