He warned them it wouldn't be pretty.... but the story's not over yet.The timing on this update couldn't be better--considering this is literally the stuff of nightmares, heheh. We're not done yet though--stay tuned and look for the next update on November 14th!

why would it be chara? they've been long dead by the time sans is around, and frisk never did a no-mercy run in this story

Nah, it's stated in the comic--when they're talking to themselves--that they never fought Sans, and it'd be obvious if they had. They wouldn't be so happy to hang out with Sans' blaster, for one...
As for Chara, there's no reason to believe they have any murderous intent until you set down that path as the player. If you take them as the narrator, they're actually pretty silly--making dozens of puns and silly comments about all the people you meet. Arguably, they help you through the hardest fights and get through to Asriel in the true pacifist ending. So, I don't think they'd be trying to hurt anyone in this ending

well sorry to just jump in this conversation so late, but did you guys see the words in red before papyrus found sans having a nightmare? it said "you can't dodge this forever" or something like that. only one person only talks with red-colored-words..-needless to say, i agree with Kitty-ChatBlancN

Ok, but why do they need to have every little detail (other than story telling purposes I mean)? O..O He already told them he is made of glass and he was seriously traumatised by the episode with Undyne, can't they extrapolate that into a nightmare about fear for his life? If he got enough PTSD to summon a bloody dragon in his sleep, don't they realise he wouldn't be too keen on relieving what he dreamt?

Sans is hoping that by going into more detail than maybe his friends want, they won't press for more; he also knows it's not just his friends' curiosity he's up against here, but the humans' concerns as well, and can only hope that by making it clear just what he went through, that it'll be enough explanation for his attack's behavior. And on some level, he's subtly lashing out at the people keeping him awake =u=;
Now, whether any of this will actually pay off... remains to be seen >>

Hmm I think you somewhat misunderstood my question, although explaining Sans' perspective makes his motives more clear as well, so thanks :3 - I get it now why he is telling them this, but rather I am wondering why they insist so much on knowing more after what he just told them...
