Very nice macro. You did a great job of getting all the details of the bee (little hairs) and the lavender flowers. This is simply a very solid photo.

yeah, my camera is pretty good at moment, 4.0 megapixels, but i'm getting a 6.3 megapixel one next week... going into debt for it but who cares? haha.

Really, what camera are you getting?
I recently got a Canon Digital Rebel....and absolutely love it. It was a toss up btw the Canon and the Nikon D70, I chose the Canon because it seemed a little more beginner friendly and was abot $400 cheaper. Anyway you will not see a whole lot of difference between 4 and 6 mp on portraits...but close-ups and macros should have a lot more detail. Just be sure to get at least a 512mb memory card...at full resolution I can fit about 120 photos on it, anything less would really be a pain.

yeah it's a Fuji Finepix S7000, it's good especially for the price i've found it for, i'd not spend more on a more technical camera because i don't really need it.
I'm getting it on a deal with a 256 card but eventually i want to upgrade to a microdrive for it, but i'm poor at moment, so i'll wait and see if i can afford it ever.

I agree...those micro drives are expensive. I would love to have one, or at least a 1gig CF card, but I will wait for the prices to go down. I am happy for you...good luck with the camera - just be sure to let us know when you post some pics with it...I would be interested in seeing if I can detect a difference.

Hmm, 'tis a very thin bee. Must be a different type to the ones I see around here...
I like this a lot, great shot
