Monster type/species Description: Nightwalker- They were discarded due to the fact that they failed to reach some goal that their experimenters had in mind. The name is due to the fact that, as a whole, Nightwalkers rarely leave their safe-places during daylight. Many stay in the city where they were experimented on, hiding in the sewers and trying to regain a semblance of life. Their name was given to them mainly by the city inhabitants.
Nightwalkers all share a similar backstory, despite the variety in appearance and powers. They were minding their own business when they were picked up by an unmarked van. They were taken to CW Medicinal LLC, and, once there, were experimented on with magic, science, and horror by a man they collectively deemed as Dr. Necro. Whatever this doctors goals were, none of his 'patients' knew. They experienced horror and unimaginable pain as Necro twisted their bodies, each unique and different. The failures were dumped in the sewers, where most of them stayed. The successes... Who really knows?

Weakness:
*Desiccation: Charleston dehydrates very easily since becoming a Nightwalker. He almost constantly needs to drink water and dehydration comes with headaches, physical weakness, and dizziness.
*Breathing problems: Extra gills on his neck creates mucus build-up in his throat. Wetting them constantly helps stop most of the blockage but not completely. That, coupled with excessive chest binding, has given Charleston difficulty breathing. He has a chronic cough.
*Fire: Despite being damp most of the time, fire is extremely hazardous to Charleston. Burn injuries heal slowly and fire spreads quickly, causing more damage to him than it would to a normal human.

SKILLS
Major Skills:
1. Teeth
Tier 1: they grow in sharp, but stop after a certain point. Charleston is able to bite through plastic and pieces of wood easily. They regrow if they fall out.
Tier 2: stronger than before, Charleston can now dent metal with his teeth. Biting through it takes some time.
2. Current Manipulation
Tier 1: Need a little push? Making the water flow a bit faster one way or slow down can help while swimming.
Tier 2: Current now move stronger than before. He can give a constant, decent push onward.
3. Scales and fins
Tier 1: fine scales cover most of Charleston’s body.The tough material can protect from small cuts and scratches, sloughing off and regrowing later. Along his arms and legs, and between his fingers and toes are thin, webby fins. They aid in swimming.
Tier 2: the scales seem to be getting tougher. Glancing blows from attacks don’t harm Charleston and one must dedicate oneself to an attack to do any damage to him.

4. Alchemic Craftmanship - Hearthstone
Hearth Stone: An item that binds to the person Charleston gives it to. This stone allows the user to teleport to their dorm room from most locations. This item has no effect if the character finds themself in another dimension or in one of the school's events due to magical interference.
Tier 1: Charleston can create 1 hearthstone per month. It can be used a total of three times before breaking.
Tier 2: Charleston can create 2 hearthstones per month. It can be used a total of five times before breaking.

Minor Skills:
1. Underwater breathing
Tier 1: like breathing thick air, Charleston can breathe underwater but it is difficult and uncomfortable. His swimming speed can be affected by his breathing capabilities
Tier 2: Breathing in water is comfortable now. If the water is polluted or full of chemicals, it still makes him feel unwell.

2. Bioluminescence
Tier 1: the blue markings on his skin and his lure glow in the dark. He can not control it in any way.
Tier 2: While he cannot turn off the light, he can now make it glow brighter.

3. Swim Good
Tier 1: the extra fins, gills, and scales make swimming through still waters easier. He has trouble in currents though.
Tier 2: Currents are easier to maneuver and Charleston can swim faster outside of them.
4. Ballerina
Tier 1: he’s a bit rusty. Been a while since he practiced.
Tier 2: with time and patience, Charleston can perform most leaps and jumps with an average skill and minimal flourish.

Personality: Charleston is one of those people who can be everyone’s friend. His laid back attitude and roll-with-the-punches demeanor means he can get along with pretty much anyone. Encouraging and friendly, he can easily bring out the best in people with relatively little effort; a shy person a little bit more outgoing, smoothing rough edges of an angry person. Extroverted to the extreme, Charleston likes having a good laugh - even at his own expense - and is always down to try something new. Wherever he is, he’s going to have a good time and make sure everyone else is too. He also rather enjoys flirting with others.
However, his laid back attitude can go to the extreme at times. Charleston is a notorious procrastinator, and has been known to put things off past a deadline and try to shrug off the consequences. He lives in island time and is rarely punctual. It’s hard to get Charleston to concentrate on something he doesn’t want to do, and next to impossible to force him to do chores he hates. Rarely, he won’t recognize something small that doesn’t bother him can drive another crazy, resulting in some miscommunication and possibly arguments.

Character's Background: Charleston is the youngest of 10 siblings. Despite the large family, he was well loved and had plenty of attention. School was a bit of a struggle for Charleston, as he disliked sitting still all day and would rather go out and run around.
When he was 18 and on his way to soccer camp, he was kidnapped by some people and found himself at the hands of Dr. Necro. His time in the labs was short, and whatever use Charleston had was quickly over. He was discarded and left for dead in the sewers, but managed to recover. The experiments didn’t affect him as bad as it did Matt and he soon set off to return to his family, easily able to hide his new fishy features with clothing. Unfortunately, his family had moved and he didn’t have the resources to track them down.
Returning to the sewers with the other Nightwalkers, he made do with what they had. When they were attacked, Charleston was shoved into the sewage water and hit his head, falling unconscious. Once he awoke, his friends were either dead or missing, and he didn’t dally. For a while, he hobo’d about, taking odd jobs and wandering.
One morning, he was rudely awakened by paper swatting him in the face. An invitation to Monster Academy had found him and, having nothing better to do, Charleston headed on over.
