~The Traitor~

Darkness. Loneliness. Emptiness. The cold. No matter how wide she opened her eyes, she could see nothing but darkness. Even as she ignited her hands the glow of her powers could not break through the dark. The loneliness of the cold and empty world slowly consuming her. She couldn't even remember how she got here in the first place. Where was she? Was she dead? Lost? She couldn't remember. Her heart ached for some reason. She wanted to remember, but she couldn't no matter how hard she tried.

"Hello?!" She called out. No answer. Just the echo of her call until it faded and left her alone once again. If only there was light. Then she might be able to find her way.

Then she felt warm. She turned around and saw a faint glow of light. It was pure white, breaking through the darkness. A smile spreading across her face she began running towards it, but a voice called out to her.

"Don't go towards the light, Shego."

Stopping in her tracks, she turned to find the person who owned the voice, but saw no one. "Who are you? Show yourself!"

"Don't go to the light." It repeated. "It is not your time, and they need you. You have to remember."

"Remember what?" Shego asked. All she could remember was defeating a bunch of robots and a green giant. Yelling out in pain, the woman clutched her head. The memories fading from her.

"Grasp the memory of your purpose. Don't forget. Don't let it escape." The voice said, fading gradually.

"I can't..." Shego whispered, falling to her knees, feeling weak. "They're fading...I can't remember..."

"Remember..." The voice said, barely audible. Then it shouted, "Now wake!"

With a gasp, Shego jolted up, panting and sweating. Taking in her surroundings Shego found herself in a small room, lying on a bed. The room was empty except for a small desk and wooden chair and a body mirror leaning against the wall. The dull single light bulb hanging above her, providing little to no light at all. There were no windows, but there was light streaming from under the door that led to the outside of her room.

Getting off the bed with a creak, Shego felt...weird. But ignoring it, and going to check herself in the mirror, Shego's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Her skin was paler than usual. When she touched her face she noticed how cold her body felt. She wasn't as warm as she used to be.

Maybe she just needed to take some medicine. Shrugging to herself, Shego opened the door and exited her room entering the main room. The main room consisted of a lot of computers and big screens. In the middle of the room was an L shaped couch, and a rectangular table piled with papers and gadgets. The ceiling seemed unending. It just kept going up for who knows how long. Shego guessed that it led up outside because occasionally there would be a bird flying through there that Z would feed and pet.

To the right, there was a prison cell, holding Dr. Drakken and a little girl Shego didn't know. The girl was sleeping on the cot, and Drakken was just sitting on the cold stone floor. His head perked up when he noticed Shego passing by.

"Shego! Please let me out! Where's Kim Possible and the others?" He said in a panic, grabbing the bars of the cell.

"What are you talking about Dr. D?" Shego asked. "I think keeping you caged up is really getting to you."

Drakken could only look at her strangely. "Shego? Are you okay? You're supposed to rescue me and your daughter with Kim Possible and the others!"

"I don't have a daughter." Shego said, raising a dark eyebrow.

"Yes, she doesn't." Z said, coming up to them. Drakken's eyes widened, and he backed away from the door, going into the farthest corner.

"Come Shego, you look hungry." Z said, and the woman followed her employer.

After settling down at the small table where Z had set two plates of eggs and bacon, Shego asked, "What was he talking about?"

Pulling off his mask, Z scratched his short blonde hair. "He's just confused from being confined in his cell too long. Don't let him get to you." He replied, and picked up his fork and began eating.

"Whose the kid?"

"Just bait." Z answered, chewing his eggs. "Eat up, you'll need your energy."

Eying the young green skinned man for a moment, Shego picked up her fork and started eating also.

Meanwhile...

The group had entered a white room. The pure brightness burning their eyes as they continued their journey. Kim was walking behind the group, head bowed and eyes puffy from crying too long. She felt as if someone had tore out her heart and ripped it apart right before her eyes. How could she go on without Shego? She didn't want to believe she was dead. She won't believe it. But after witnessing what she saw, it was hard not to.

"Kim?" Monique asked, worriedly as she slowed her pace to walk beside her. "You okay?"

"I think so..." Kim mumbled.

Monique slung her arm around her shoulder to comfort her, and Kim held back her tears. "Come on Kim, Shego won't like it if you kept crying like this." She told her. "She'd want you to kick Z's ass and get your daughter back."

"But how am I supposed to do that without Shego? Shego sacrificed herself for all of us. I don't think I have enough determination and strength from the beginning like I used to." The redhead said, her shoulders slumping.

"Don't think that way Kim! You have to keep going, for Shego. Were going to find Reyna, kick Z's ass, and all go home!"

"Go home without Shego..." Kim mumbled.

Monique stopped her from walking and stood in front of her, grabbing her by the shoulders. The others stopped also, when they noticed Monique raising her voice. "Look at me Kim." The African ordered, but Kim kept her head down. "Look at me!" Finally the hero gave in, her green eyes meeting Monique's dark ones.

"Alright so you won't have Shego with you. But you'll have Reyna! That little girl is the reason what brought you and Shego together. You're not going to let that reason die for nothing, are you?"

Kim shook her head.

"And you're not going to give up and let Z get away with this, are you?"

The redhead shook her head again, standing straighter. "No, I'm not."

Slapping her friend on the shoulder with an encouraging smile, Monique put her hands on her hips. "That's the Kim Possible I know."

Returning the smile and holding her chin high, Kim strode ahead of the group with new found strength and determination. "Come on guys! We have a kid to save."

Back in Z's lair...

"Let us out!" Drakken cried, annoying the hell out of Z and Shego who were sitting on the couch discussing business.

"Let us ouuuuuttt!" Drakken cried, pounding on the metal door.

"That's it." Z said, throwing down his pen on the table and stormed to the door. "Oh I'll let you out all right." Pulling out a key, Z unlocked it. Once it was opened he grabbed Drakken by his collar, and seethed in his face.

"Go Reyna!" Drakken said, and the said girl escaped past Z.

Z cursed. "Shego!"

The said woman rolled her eyes. She leaped off of the couch and landed gracefully in front of the kid, blocking her way. "I really hate kids..." She grumbled.

"Mom!" Reyna cried, and hugged her leg.

"Agh! Get off me you twerp! I'm not you mom!" Shego yelled, trying to kick the girl off her leg. But the girl just kept crying, calling her 'mom'.

Thrusting the blue man back in the cell, and locking it, Z helped Shego by trying to pull the child off of her.

"Get her off of me already!"

"I'm trying! She's got a death grip!"

"Ow! You're pulling my leg!"

"No I'm not! It's her!"

"Whatever! Its both of you! Just get her off me!"

Finally succeeding in pulling the girl off of Shego, Z began carrying her back to the cell. The girl thrashed and cried.

"Mom! Mom! Help me!"

"Stop calling me mo-AGH!" Shego fell to her knees, clutching her head. Images flashed in her throbbing head. It was of the girl standing in the rain, looking up at her in ragged clothes. Then another image of Shego brushing the girl's hair. Then a final one of Shego and Kim sitting in a bedroom with Reyna in the middle.

"Remember..." A voice whispered in her head.

"Mom!" Reyna called, reaching her hand out to her.

Shego looked up at her, her vision blurring as she held out her hand to the girl. "Reyna..." Then she fainted.

Fluttering her eyes open, Shego found herself in the same room she woke up in.

"How are you feeling?" Z asked from where he was sitting.

"Fine." Shego said. Although she was bewildered by those strange images she had before she fainted. Why did she have those strange images? And why was Kim in them? What was strange though, was that Shego felt as if those events actually happened.

"What made you faint?" Z asked, leaning forward in his chair as Shego swung her legs off the side of the bed to sit up.

"I dunno. I guess I just didn't have enough energy." Shego lied. She felt that she shouldn't tell the man about her vision for some odd reason. "But I'm fine now." She added to avoid any further questions. "Are you going to send me off to do my stuff now or what?"

The green man stayed silent for a moment, studying Shego as if she were a rare specimen. He drummed his gloved fingers on his mask, chewing his bottom lip. There was something familiar about him, but Shego couldn't put her finger on it. Then it hit her. He looked a lot like-

"Very well." Z said, standing. "You are to head to the white room to encounter Kim Possible. Don't worry about the others." He smiled mischievously before putting his mask on and continuing. "I'll deal with them."

Shego's trademark smirk appeared at the mention of the redhead's name. Now it was time to have some fun. "With pleasure."

"Does this thing ever end?" Monique groaned. They were all tired of walking down the endless white room that had doors opening to more white rooms. "I mean seriously, this is getting ridiculous!"

"It is getting annoying, isn't it?" Z's voice echoed in the room, and everyone stopped to get into fighting stances.

"Show yourself, Z!" Kim yelled. "You coward!"

"I'm sorry Kim, I can't do that. But I can get you out of there."

No one answered, they all just looked at each other.

"What's the catch?"

"Oh, just that one of you has to stay behind."

"Were not leaving anyone behind!" The redhead yelled.

Z chuckled. "I knew that you would say that, that's why I already chose you to stay behind."

"What?" Wade asked. Z just ignore his question.

"Say goodbye to you friends, Kim Possible." Before anyone could say or do anything, the lights turned off, sending everyone in a darkness of panic. Then Kim heard Monique's muffled scream.

"Monique!" Kim yelled. Then Monique's scream faded until it was silent. Then it was Yori's turn to scream, and then Wade. "Guys!"

The screams then stopped, leaving Kim in silent darkness. Nothing could be heard except for Kim's breathing and pounding heart. Where had her friends gone? Would she be stuck in here in darkness forever? The hero kept walking until she found a wall, and put her back to it in case someone tried to kidnap her, or whatever it was that took her friends. Then suddenly, the lights slowly began to come on.

The room was empty, no more friends, not even a sound, just an empty white room. Then a voice broke the silence.

"Hello, Princess."
