Welp, now you've unleashed the wrath of Captain Toad.
He WILL murder you with vegetables.

Nintendo was kinda messed up creating Bob-ombs. They are sentient beings, making them the Mario world version of suicide bombers.

How is it any different than PokΓ©mon using the move Explosion? In Paper Mario; The Thousand Year Door, a Bob-Omb in a bar tells you that for Bob-ombs, "exploding" is no different than throwing a punch. They just reform back together after and are perfectly fine. Yeah it makes no sense, but what DOES make sense logically in the Mushroom Kingdom, or even the PokΓ©mon world for that matter? XD

When Pokemon use self-destruct and explosion, they don't actually blow up. It's more like unleashing all their enegry at once. When the smoke clears, they are still alive. Bob-ombs actually blow up, leaving no trace of them behind.

Well it depends on the game. As I mentioned, in the Paper Mario series it is in fact much more like the PokΓ©mon games. In the first two games you get a Bob-omb as one of your partners, and "blowing up" is their signature move.

Ah, I haven't played the Paper Mario series. My knowlege of Bob-ombs come from the original platformers.

Even just counting those platformers, after you deal with enemies on any stage, a minute or two later they just re-spawn, so who's to say they don't have multiple "1-ups" like the player has?

Re-spawning enemies were a thing back in the day. ALL enemies re-spawned, not just Bob-ombs.

I know, but again that just kind of proves my "multiple lives" point. XD
