Wow. Very nice colouring. Actually, Sterling seems quite fine on the first glance. Have you found something better in the meantime?

Thank you. No, Sterling is still my favorite. I actually tinted this one a bit pink in most places with Photoshop, so only the red/black parts have emphasis. I once experimented with Apophysis, which does seem capable of great fractals, but all I kept getting were tangled thin lines and stuff. It had more numbers and variations, I got bored fast.

Sterling is more intuitive, You start off with one kinda boring fractal, then keep pressing buttons, distorting and zooming in until it looks cool. Let me know if you're interested, its freeware. Thanks again!

Here's the link to explore and download Sterling. [link]

If you get Sterling, the first thing to do is change the size of the fractal so you can see what's going on. That should be in the icon of the 3 yellow squares.

From there, right-click on the fractal, select Rectangle Mode, drag out a rectangle and double-click to zoom in. Then just play with all the controls. The reset button should be 3rd from the right. Enjoy, and let me know how it goes!

Thanks for the helpful tips. Prior to that, I was just using the traditional zoom which was not very good to work it when re-doing something I wanted. I think I'm starting to get hold of it step by step. (I like the transform functions actually)
