Description
For these two photos I tried something different with the light. I shot this in my living room and just used the light coming through the window and the background paper. Grainy and the image came out looking a bit different. You can see a bit of the shape of the window on the paper where the light comes through. It's on the left of the photo.Related content

Love the quality of this photo...it looks almost like a daguerreotype or something. Just wish she'd been up on her toes or something...make her legs look as elegant as her hands.

Thank you for your comments. I'll have to look through the photos from that session to see if there are poses of her on her toes.

Very interesting artistic effect. Almost looks like a charcoal drawing, and with a very classic pose.

I got lucky with the light. I was trying something new with the lighting and I got about six shots with similar results. I wish I could claim some technical procedure.

I could come up with some high tech sounding technique that I used to get the grain; truth is, I got lucky. I put the background paper on a wall that had an open window. I tried shooting some pictures just using existing light that was coming in through the window. I guess it had a hazy or grainy effect on the pictures I took (about ten of them) before switching to my light source. Look at Luz 1, there is also a grainy effect on that photo. I do admit, the final photos have a unique look. Thanks for your email, I appreciate it. Maybe I'll put up some more shots from that series.

I added two more from that session. La Luz (1 and 2). They don't look as grainy as the first two, but the look is there. I hope you like them
