Description
Dissatisfied with the last coloring job, and newly armed with Painter 8, I set out to recolor my turtle-riding fairy, this time in a slightly more iridescent manner. I'm more pleased with the result this time, and damn, that's a psychedelic turtle.Related content

Friend turtle does, however, appear singularly unimpressed by the pretty, flighty creature hitching a ride on his back. Harumph. What did you do, lose your shell flitting amongst the branches? Harumph.

amazing coloring job you are awesome!! however i am strangely perverse and find multiple meanings for the phrase "riding the turtle" i mean it is a nude woman on a turtle maybe its just me but hey idk

That is to say: gosh, look, a delicate winged fairy kneeling astride a turtle, and wait, would you believe she's naked?! (In fact, so is the fairy!)
Toggling back and forth between this image and the original, I think I have to say I prefer this one. The iridescence effect seems to bring this version to life. Besides, from a 'first impressions' point of view I've always had a preference for redheads over blondes. OTOH, the other version is a lot more realistic. The fairy's skin-tones in particular (assuming of course, that fairies have human-looking skin, rather than glowing mother-of-pearl skin, which may not be a correct assumption...)

I absolutely love the coloring and the detail on the turtle is great. You other picture is great but i like the coloring on this one better stands out more-fantasy. Also like the fairy-it was good that you made her curved and ample-makes it sensual.

Oh, I prefer that colouring too. Not that the other wasn't nice, but this is certainly more vibrant and interesting to look at.

how choose?? Riding the Turtle or Alternate Turtle Rider???
on first the is illustration is again very nice it's like to Claire Welding work!
the color in Riding the Turtle is just rigth and logical. Alternate Turtle Rider's color is more impresionniste style, more expΓ©rimentation, i'm prefer that but it's just too lackluster, i'm like in your other work your color contrast, and your ligth effect, but here is very homogeneous. it's interresting style!
well to finish why she ride a turtle to journey??? She can fly she a fairy... is slacker hihi

this one is better than the other, the other seem gray, dull next to this.
the coloring is maybe a tad more artistic than what im used to from you... most other pictures are eighter more realistic colored, or brighter cartoon colors... they are good, and this is good too.
i'm not sure i like the angle of the wings, it's like they don't match the angle of the upper body somehow. i may be wrong.
its a good picture, even if it can't match your mouse warrior.

Beautifully done!! Yup, it's definitely a mobile tanning platform for a fairy resting her weary wings...take a breather and work on the tan. I like the coloring better on this version. Got ourselves a 'punk' turtle...like the shell colors, too.

This is a beautiful piece. I LOVE your background and the turtle and the fairy and EVERYTHING! Really amazing. very nice..i am not too into fairies, or turtles really, but i do like the colors you used and the composition of the picture, the way the plants come out on the left side and the turtle...nice touch.
