Grumpy punk hummingbird says "Oy!"I doodled up the sketch of this last weekend at a con and decided it needed to become a painting, since I haven't fooled around with real media for a few weeks now.
Quick little piece, mixed media, 8 x 9 or thereabouts. (That's supposed to be an American Basswood twig he's on, not that anyone probably cares, but...y'know.)

This is SOOO not far off their personalities. They are very aggressive little birds. My dad has 20 or 30 of them coming to his dozen or so feeders and likes to sit outside and watch the dogfights. Mind your ears though.

Great drawing, you would never imagine something as delicate as a hummingbird could go punk, but you managed to pull it off perfectly.
