I have yet to do a lava like landscape, so here it is!! Not my preferred setting, but i gotta mix it up a bit for fun and knowledge!

The colors are absolutely beautiful in this piece. I think as with your other piece some of the areas could use a bit more definition to help lead the eye around. If you look at the top middle area where that yellow glow is you can see the light reflecting off the rocks. That gives them dimension, however, the rocks closer to the viewer have no dimension and are simply black in shadow. The focal point does a great job of attracting attention but where the beams of light lead off should help bring the viewers eye back into the painting. As it is now it seems like everything is leading off the painting instead so the composition is a bit lackluster. It's tough to get that subtle mix just right but when you do it'll come together and look ten times as gorgeous.
