I like the composition, but I wish that all of the hair was in the piece, and that it wasn't chopped off at the bottom there, then we'd have some weight.

Usually when shooting in the sun you want to use broad lighting, which lights up the closest side of the face to the camera. It makes the face look a little broader (as the title hints at) and the sunlight goes very well with almost any color eye.

thanks for the comments, I agree on the composition point. And broad lighting is definitely the way to go in general, but I like to play loose with the rules and see what I get. It's a more interesting process that way even if the results aren't as polished as they could be
