Do you know what some countries are using on bills to make counterfits more difficult?

Well, some of it is the pattern, but that's easy enough to replicate. It's usually the material and the watermark. Here in the US, special fibers are woven into the bills to slow down counterfeiting as well as a certain acid treatment or something. That's partly why in the US, if you use a $20 bill or higher, a lot of stores use a marker to test it. It has a reaction to these markers that changes the color if it's not legit. Then, of course, the watermark is there as an added failsafe since specific watermarks are quite hard to replicate and take some time to perfect. That's partly why I left some space in between the picture and the names there to leave room for the watermark to be seen.

The most difficult thing for a counterfeiter to duplicate is a clear plastic film part.
